Background
Claire has a common law
practice specialising in Personal Injury, Commercial and Employment
Law.
She graduated in Modern History at Oxford University in 2000 before
obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Law and a Very Competent in the
Bar Exams (2003). On completion of pupillage at Chambers in Hull,
Claire was offered tenancy, before joining Academy Chambers in
2005.

Personal Injury
Claire's work encompasses all areas of Personal Injury litigation.
She accepts instruction at all levels, and acts both for claimants
and defendents. She also undertakes a significant volume of
advisory work. Claire is fully prepared to undertake all drafting
of documents in a case.
Employment
Claire has acted for
clients in cases of unfair dismissal and discrimination.
Other
Claire's common law
pratice also includes contractual disputes, Inheritance Act claims
and trust of land cases.
Previously
Claire has also
worked in the criminal courts where she has prosecuted and defended
in all range of proceedings in the Magistrate's and Crown Courts.
She had particular experience in cases dealing with youths and
vulnerable witnesses.
Personal
Claire is attempting to write a work of fiction in her spare time.
She also recently discovered the joys of sailing, and competed
in The Round the Island

in 2009.
